Malvern Garden / Donald Pell Gardens Located in the village of Malvern, PA, the Malvern Garden is a showcase of the artistry and craftsmanship that Donald Pell Gardens is known for throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. We have worked a lot on this team to deliver a master piece for the clients on what can be described as a slice of heaven on earth with world class gardening and sceneries to the property. This included everything from amazing native plant communities promoting biodiversity as well as beauty. Natural stone pathways, shaped by locally-sourced bluestone, are used to create bending trails that wind through the property, encouraging a sense of adventure and linking different garden areas. Even a custom water feature, the sounds of rushing water and the sights of local wildlife work to enrich the environment, a small pond with a beautiful little water fall alerts all of the local creatures, insects, and birds that something wonderful and new is taking place. We were dealing with a sloped site so we had to get creative with grading to ensure drainage and prevent erosion. Using natural stone to hold back the soil from a gravel path routed through the site, our team built visually stunning yet practical terraced garden beds. This both gave exaggerated bones to the landscape and created the best place for seasonal flowers and perennial shrubs. We ended up with a serene retreat that has pleased both our client and the neighborhood. The Malvern Garden is a testament to our sustainability agenda and our commitment to quality, and provides a peaceful environment for relaxing, gathering and celebrating. Every component was painstakingly chosen to endure, accompanied by the least amount of care and, as such, was a garden design worthy of the title magnificent.
