Garden District Courtyard In the heart of New Orleans, Garden Doctors Landscaping presents the 'Garden District Courtyard' a spotlight on outdoor landscape beautification, to create a sanctuary. We were tasked with a boost of life in an adorable, yet sparsely used courtyard and incorporating greenery in a compact space while matching the historic beauty of the Garden District. The was lovingly designed and implemented by our landscaping professionals, who used a variety of native, colorful plants, including azaleas, and fragrant gardenias to provide aesthetics and biodiversity benefits on the property. A walkout stone pathway, all locally sourced, directs tour-goers through the courtyard to a specially designed, wrought iron furniture and a custom stone sitting area set to the style of the region. We also had a lot of issues with drainage in courtyard because whenever it rains heavily it clears out area and makes it like a pool and our problem was to minimize that in line with your solution. We install a highly advanced drainage system, providing plants and hardscapes alike with a long life by preserving a dry and inviting space. The end product is an interesting mix of design and functionality that simultaneously functions as a lush sports garden a space that can be used as a relaxing oasis, as well as a place to host gatherings of family and friends. The client was stoked with the results, noting our eye for detail and tasteful balance of modern landscape approaches with the historic flavor of New Orleans. Now the 'Garden District Courtyard' is a colorful, lush, living statement of the essence of this city and the craftsmanship of Garden Doctors Landscaping and its continued commitment to quality and customer care.
