Harleysville Retreat EG Rall Jr Landscape Design & Horticultural Services is pleased to present the 'Harleysville Retreat' , a remarkable renovation of an outdoor space designed to integrate nature and modern living. Located in Harleysville, you can see by the photo, this epitomizes our standard for quality and design, as both a service provider and contributor to the surrounding cities of Ambler, Ardmore and others. Our process began with the homeowner’s request and vision for a beautiful space to relax and entertain in a serene getaway. To develop this vision, we introduced a multi-level patio made of locally-sourced bluestone. This decorative touch not only allows the patio to be attractive, but also wear over time. Surrounding the patio is an extensive selection of native plants and perennials, which have been thoughtfully chosen to provide colorful appeal and encourage local wildlife habitat during all four seasons. One of the major challenges we faced was an uneven grade on the property. Our landscape team skillfully implemented a grading plan that could help with landscaping the outdoor space: the grading contributed to terraced planting beds to compliment the property, as well as functional space for planting. In addition, we incorporated natural boulders as retaining walls, which helped with drainage, but also provided a rustic addition to the design. Along with creating inviting landscape beds, we provided mouthwatering ambient lighting, which was purposely placed to share the wonderful plantings and pathways at night, along with adding a magical feel to the evening. A custom-made fire-pit was added, with seating for making a cozy gathering space for family and friends. At the end of the journey for creating the Harleysville Retreat, we delivered a beautiful outdoor oasis that exceeded the clients’ dreams and expectations. The 'Harleysville Retreat' is more than landscaping construction; it’s a transformation of lifestyle to include relaxation beauty and sustainability.
