Chestnut Hill Master Plan: A Landscape by EG Rall Jr Landscape Design & Horticultural Services Chestnut Hill, a beautiful community. The Chestnut Hill Master Plan is an incredible landscaping that highlights the creativity and professionalism of EG Rall Jr Landscape Design & Horticultural Services. The EG Rall Jr Landscape Design team serves many areas including Ambler, Flourtown, Mount Airy, and Wyndmoor, and we are happy to take on whatever you have for us, no matter the topography, site and vegetation conditions. The itself had a very involved design that emphasized native plants even in the drawings to promote biodiversity and low-maintenance ornamental. We incorporated deciduous trees, evergreen trees, flowering shrubs, and perennials that would provide a pop of color and texture peacefully every season. Pathways and retaining walls were made with sustainable materials including stone sourced within a fifty-mile radius. One of the biggest challenges included the steep slope in the back of the property. Given that, we built tiered gardens that would secure the soil and allow for a spectacular display of colorful flowering plants there. We also used drip irrigation to reduce excess water, while supporting every part of the garden. The outcome was an amazing landscape that brought the client joy in a cohesive manner with the rest of the site. The Chestnut Hill Master Plan changed the yard from an invasively completed space to a usable backyard retreat, while offering value to the property as effectively.
