Nicole's Entry Gardens / Gardens ALIVE Design Nicole’s Entry Gardens is a beautiful makeover in Bellevue and an impressive work of thought and design by Gardens ALIVE Design. It also looked like a which was high on both form and function. The design started with the need for an inviting entrance that would add curb appeal but also needed to comply with the natural environment of the home. We filled our spaces with every native plant we could think of that would thrive in our climate: colorful perennials and evergreen shrubs that we plan to feast our eyes upon all year long. These birds are excellent for colourful blossoms all the way through the entire seasons, but also to assist the local wildlife and promote biodiversity. This is all the high quality local material used. The pathways were custom-cut from natural stone, leading visitors through the gardens and allowing the transition from driveway to front door to feel as though it flows seamlessly into each other. These paths are lined with large masses of flowering and ornamental grasses, chosen for their texture and color to provide interest from all sides. The centerpiece of the Nicole's Entry Gardens is a water feature that would make for a great soothing atmosphere. This contemporary fountain made of reclaimed stone fills the space as an eye-catcher and provides an appealing soundscape for rest. During installation we had to contend with the challenges of the uneven ground and that required careful grading and drainage solutions to make sure this garden stands the test of time. On the lower edge of the property they designed a rain garden, which our team installed in order to improve stormwater management and overall garden sustainability. Our work came together beautifully in an entry that welcomes guests and expresses Nicole’s personality. The lustrous plants combined with the soothing effect of the water feature makes an ambiance so mesmerizing even to the owner along with the guests. Nicole's Entry Gardens represents a strong homage to Gardens ALIVE Design, the quality of both craftsmanship and landscape design. We focus on creating gardens that are productive, beautiful, and functional beautifying homes in the greater Seattle area, Bellevue, Kirkland, and way beyond.
