These miniature landscapes not only paint beautiful pictures of their surroundings, they can also be incorporated directly into the holders of solar lights that never have to be plugged into the ground and moved as other types of lights do, which provide steady illumination in the evening and morning hours. Located in quiet Bellevue, Gardens ALIVE Design's work on 'Michelle's Entry Landscape' is absolutely breathtaking. We envisioned this to add a ton of curb appeal to Michelle's home to provide a warm and inviting entry way that blends into the natural beauty that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. This design includes an intricate flagstone path leading visitors through a colorful landscape of native plants and seasonal flowers. Perennials were chosen for their drought-tolerance and to ensure a spectrum of color, 12 months of the year, while a range of ornamental grasses contribute texture and movement. Adding organized boulders creates visual interest but also becomes a natural seat for guests to stop and take in some scenery. To solve this problem, our engineers were challenged to find a way to create a flat and accessible passageway to the entry.” We skillfully designed tiered garden beds, ensuring they drained and did not disrupt the beauty of the landscape. Low-voltage LED integrated into the walkway accentuates the entry at night, sprinkling a little stardust after sunset. Although it is a pretty minimalistic design where only a few materials were used, the end result is a perfect combination of beautiful weeping walls plus added functionality and beauty to Michelle for her entry landscape that has become one of the beautiful spaces in the house that both reflects her personalstyle and enhances the building’s architecture as far as we have experience. Not just the result, but the whole job was no more than expected and more than pleased, Michelle now has a space!
