Wyndmoor, PA Deck Built by EG Rall Jr Landscape Design & Horticultural Services Located in a quaint and quiet neighborhood of Wyndmoor, PA, the 'Wyndmoor Deck' showcases the creativity and skillset of EG Rall Jr Landscape Design & Horticultural Services. In this , our design build group was challenged to turn an unused outdoor space into an elegant, useable deck that complemented the existing landscape. Our began with a robust site review where we established the need for a semi-permanent structure that would withstand exposure while creating a warm and inviting place for family meetings and outdoor entertaining. Composite deck materials were utilized due to their durability and low-maintenance features, and complemented with custom railings made of sustainably harvested hardwood to create an inviting overall feel. The most challenging obstacle to overcome was the existing site conditions, as the site was virtually all out of level. This required appropriate grading and leveling to provide a stable subgrade. Our crews utilized some new ideas and techniques with success to create an attractive and stable deck. In order to promote an outdoor experience, we utilized some built-in seating and integrated some planters to allow for some green plant material to blend the deck with the existing landscape. The final space is a beautiful outdoor oasis that enhances the functionality of the homeowners will enjoy and greatly contributes to the overall style of the home. The deck features some ambient lights for enjoyment in the evenings. The surrounding landscape is also beautifully defined with some native plantings and decorative stones, making for a warm and inviting feeling.
