Reid Residence, Spring Island Verdant Enterprises has successfully completed the landscape at Reid Residence located on beautiful Spring Island, SC, demonstrating our commitment to our quality and an innovative balance of design. This large property provided us with opportunities and obstacles including changes in topography and a desire for aesthetics and functionality. Our team thoughtfully designed a peaceful landscape that sensitively applies native plants in slick hardscapes. We arranged local stone to generate meandering pathways, charismatic cedar fencing and elegant light to showcase the natural beauty of the setting. Resulting layout provides a calming water feature as a focal point while attracting local wildlife, enhancing bio-diversity. We also encountered challenges such as drainage management and consideration of existing trees. Our team ingeniously placed the grade and utilized permeable materials in sustainable solutions while conserving the natural landscape. Additionally, our plant selections utilized drought-resistance plants for low-maintenance and abundant color and texture throughout the year. The completed design left the Reid's thrilled with a much desired mix of spaces for leisure and recreation - such as a fire pit area and inviting gardens to explore. The Reid Residence is a strong representation of Verdant Enterprises dedication to provide unique landscapes that embrace our client's vision and respect the environmentally sustainable balance we inhabit; building on our reputation as Low Country's leader in landscaping, and beyond.
