Hollywood Intracoastal by Tropical Turf Located along beautiful waterways of Hollywood, Florida, Tropical Turf's 'Hollywood Intracoastal' reflects our passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces. Serving the communities of Miami-Dade, Broward, and Monroe counties, Tropical Turf was presented with a challenging that harmonizes design and function for a private waterfront property. We began with a complete site assessment to address the challenges of the coastal environment. The high humidity and sandy soils dictated the design that would not only provide for aesthetic sense but would also be sustainable. We selected several drought-tolerant and salt-tolerant plants including seagrape, beach sunflower, and coconut palms as visible index species to enhance the property and help the ecosystem support natural wildlife. We executed a hardscape design to provide a continuous flow from the home to the water. Beautiful pavers were thoughtfully installed to create a winding path to a cozy dock area. Custom seating areas made of natural stones allowed the homeowners to relax and take in the wonderful waterfront views. We also considered an irrigation system during the that would promote sustainability and conservation of water use while providing beautiful landscaping throughout the year. The required a delicate approach to ensure the coastal environment remained intact, while complying with local regulations and permitting. Our team successfully navigated the process with professionalism, allowing us to stay on schedule and avoid complication in a already complicated by regulations and resources. The overall outcome is a beautiful outdoor space that blends with the space. The homeowners were excited their newly transformed property. They commented with enthusiasm that the landscaping improved the aesthetic appeal of the potential landscape while enhancing their outdoor living experience. The 'Hollywood Intracoastal' provided a trophy landscape for Tropical Turf and established a well executed example of craftsmanship and landscape innovation in South Florida.
