About This Project

A Custom Koi Pond Constructed by Anderson Pond Design Anderson Pond Design has been creating beautiful custom koi ponds in outdoor spaces around Bixby, Broken Arrow, Jenks, Leonard, Oakhurst, Sand Springs, Tulsa, Collinsville, Owasso, Pryor, and elsewhere. This recent is an example of our dedication to quality, craftsmanship, and client satisfaction. This koi pond was developed with the goal of providing a peaceful retreat, while melding with the existing landscaping. The pond is edged with natural stone from local limestone. This stone has the rustic look, while offering longevity and strength. We selected plants that would create a natural ecosystem for the koi, especially the water lilies and cattails, while also adding seasonal interest to the pond. Another challenge we met on this site was the slope, which required some additional ingenuity on our part. We created a tiered effect, to allow for easy access to the pond and for the waterfall. The waterfall gently spills waterfalls down to the main body of water, providing a soothing effect and oxygenating the water for the koi. And to top it all off, we installed a filtration system that creates clear water. The filters were disguised with natural materials, so they blend into the landscape. Everyone shared some frustration as the other tradesmen delayed a bit due to weather issues, but we didn’t compromise the timeline or quality of the . The end product was an amazing koi pond that will serve as a centerpiece and retreat in the client's yard. The homeowner could hardly contain her excitement as she took in the finished product. Now she can enjoy many evenings of relaxing by her pond, watching incredibly vibrant and healthy koi swim amongst so many wonderful plants.
