Streams by Anderson Pond Design In the heart of the Tulsa community, streams by Anderson Pond Design converted an otherwise small backyard into a relaxing haven that mirrors nature. Serving the surrounding towns of Bixby, Broken Arrow, Jenks, Leonard, Oakhurst, Sand Springs, Collinsville, Owasso, Pryor, and Grove, a team of partners were presented with the task of combining usable outdoor area and landscape beauty if a harmonious way. A stunning water feature meandering through the site became the anchor of the , mimicking the flow of a stream. Locally sourced stone was used to build the stream bed to promote a natural look that could blend with the existing landscaping. A variety of native plants were selected for not only their aesthetic value but also for their ability to survive in the local biome to promote biodiversity without having to manage the maintenance. One of things that we needed to address was the slope of the property. Our talented team designed staggered planting beds that had the added functionality of applying visual interest as well as managing the flow of water, to limit the erosion while also considering drainage. We incorporated boulders into the design by directing the meander of the stream and accentuating the unique topography of the property. The end result was a picturesque setting that delighted the client, including private pathways of natural stone that connected the spaces, shaded areas within the planting, and the calming sound of flowing water that implored us to relax. The 'Streams' is a showcase of Anderson Pond Design's quality workmanship, innovative solutions, and commitment to satisfying our clients' desires. By combining beauty and usability, we created a magical landscape that adds value to the property as well as an escape from normal daily life.
