Summary: Mackes Landscaping by Landscape Concepts of Fairfax, Inc. We are very proud of our 'Mackes' in the heart of Fairfax as a true testament to the artistry and professionalism here at Landscape Concepts of Fairfax, Inc. Servicing communities such as Alexandria, Annandale, Arlington and beyond, we embraced that challenge to improve our client’s property for functionality and beauty. We began the with a consultation and learned the client’s interest in creating a relaxing retreat in their backyard. Our team created an elaborate landscape design concept with native plantings, hardscaping, and sustainable finishes. The design transitioned to the main patio area composed of high-quality natural stone with durability to create an inviting entertainment area. We also included an assortment of flowering perennials, ornamental grasses, and strategically placed evergreens; resulting in a colorful and vibrant atmosphere that would encourage lush full color throughout seasons. One challenge we had to navigate was the site topography, which was uneven and challenged us to create a solution for grading and drainage in a way that managed speed, volume, and erosion. The landscape design team met the challenge and and engaged in eco-friendly solutions that did not harm the property while preserving the beauty of the existing environment. The finished product is spectaculara perfect balance between nature and design which embodies finish quality and detailed craftsmanship. The Mackes not only met expectations, but exceeded a relaxing outdoor retreat for the homeowners amongst family and friends.
