Providence Landscaping was asked to take a tired, uninviting backyard and provide a lush, functional outdoor space. Our s start with an in-depth consultation to understand what the client is visioning for the space and their lifestyle needs. Our staff identifies features in the landscape that would add value to the property, including sod that can endure wear and tear, a beautiful stone pathway, and native plants to increase biodiversity. Grading and soil prep was the main drawback of the because of the uneven ground. Our crews will get the yard within 2% of level to ensure proper drainage and good growing conditions for the new turf. The sod we utilized is fine fescue, which is extremely durable and offers a bright green color. In keeping with environmentally friendly business practices, we worked with organic fertilizers and mulch form local vendors so that the landscape supports wildlife locally as well as enriches the earth while allowing for less yard maintenance. Part of the proposed was a rain garden to manage stormwater runoff in order to keep fewer pollutants from entering the adjacent creek, while also providing a tactile area for the family to play while also adding ecological value and enhanced aesthetics. The finish product is stunning; the lawn blends well with the planned and functional hardscape, inviting to stop and to stay.
