Elegant Estelle Elegant Estelle, a beautiful transformation on a coastal setting by Camille Beehler Landscape Design, Newport Beach, California. This elegant outdoor sanctuary was envisioned to align with the client's dream of a tranquil retreat that merges into the outdoors while still indulging in the utmost luxuries. Each element at the site is carefully selected, like custom water feature flowing over natural stone for a soothing atmosphere accentuating relaxation. Well-resilient, beautiful native plantings were used to fill in areas in order to satisfy aesthetic and biodiversity needs. A seasonal kaleidoscope of bloom from a diverse selection of flowering shrubs, accentuated by ornamental grasses for texture, and seasoned selections mature trees offers year round interest in this tranquil oasis. The greatest challenge here was optimising the existing topography having ensured through innovative grading solutions that the topographical flow of the landscape was kept yet adequately drained. Our team worked with locally made and sustainable materials, such as reclaimed wood used in custom seating areas, and permeable pavers that allow for water filtration and manage stormwater in an aesthetic manner. The end result is an attractive mix of style and serenity featuring a perfect fire pit with a comfy seating area ideal for a casual group setting or a night spent stargazing. The client was over the moon with the outcome, commending the marrying of design and nature and how it has turned their outdoor space into an extension of the home.
