Summary: Tuohy Residence Finished by: Pro Care Horticultural Services A charming neighborhood in Westfield, Tuohy Residence is a great example of the balance between beauty and function in outdoor living. Pro Care Horticultural Services planned and executed a serious landscaping that created a magical retreat that compliments nature. From the beginning, we designed and installed all new landscaping, including a unique permaculture blend of native plants that adds biodiversity, but virtually no effort to maintain. The involved a custom stone patio made from locally quarried bluestone, which will last the family for decades of use while being a beautiful location for families to gather and barbeque in the summer. Surrounding the balcony, we added flowering perennials and ornamental grasses with flowers that create bursts of vibrant colors throughout the season, and flowering plants to help attract local pollinators. One of the greatest challenges of this was the slope of the property. Pro Care Horticultural Services collaboratively conceived a design for terraced flower beds made from natural boulders and reclaimed timber that create levels of interest and texture to the landscaping. The terracing also addressed the erosion concern for the homeowners, and allowed for great usable space for planting and a spectacular display of seasonal blooms. The Tuohy Residence landscaping turned out to be a stunning outdoor retreat that balances beauty with purpose. The clients were excited the completed and shared how the new space creates an opportunity for outdoor living, and contributes to their property value. The Tuohy Residence is a true example of Pro Care Horticultural Services' quality landscaping, which serves clients in the Greater Indianapolis area and beyond, with a level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
