Portland, OR Cottage Style Garden Design The White Pear LLC, Design & Build, is pleased to present our Portland, Oregon Cottage Style Garden Design, which is yet another example of our commitment to quality and creativity in the field of landscaping. We provide our services to many areas, including Aloha, Beaverton, and Vancouver. This illustrates our skill set in transforming outdoor spaces into a quiet oasis. This garden features a unique assemblage of native Oregon plants that forms a colorful and kinetic palette throughout the growing season. Perennial flowering types such as lavenders and echinacea intermingle with ornamental grasses and delicate ferns, generating tactile quality and interest. Natural stone pathways provide a navigational guide through the landscape and contribute to a casual whimsy that is prevalent in this type of garden. One of the challenges of this was to marry the existing topography with the new design in collaboration with drainage issues to manage standing water. We designed and built a series of stepped terraces that solved the drainage issues at the same time, achieving a more visually stimulating layout. Several loads of locally sourced river rock and boulders were added to reinforce the natural aesthetic, as they provide structure to the garden. The end product is an enchanting landscape that captures the notion of cottage style and creates a tranquil space for our clients to enjoy. Resting areas sharing space with flowering shrubs, and a small gazebo as the center point of the garden, encourage relaxation and rejuvenation. The Portland Cottage Style Garden is a reflection of The White Pear LLC’s skilled craftsmanship and ability to employ unique, creative design to address a client problem in the heart of the community.
