The Shady Canyon Vegetable & Herb Garden The Shady Canyon Vegetable & Herb Garden is a community based from Harvest to Home Vegetable & Herb Garden Service that combines function with beauty. Across cities from Aliso Viejo to Sunset Beach, our focus on quality and putting the client first is visible in every detail of this gorgeous new garden. Surrounded in natural shade, the Shady Canyon garden has several raised beds made with locally sourced cedar that provide longevity and rustic beauty. Every bed is specifically oriented for ideal light to encourage a variety of organic veggies and aromatic herbs. Organic soil amendments improve nutrient availability, fostering an ecosystem. The faced many challenges, including a sloped site and overshadowing with mature trees across a lot of the site. Our experienced team expertly graded the site with thoughtful terracing that would alleviate some drainage challenges and provide clear planting zones. Such well thought out planning creates room for all types of life including basils and rosemary, and tomatoes and peppers. We installed a drip irrigation system so we could water the plants in the garden properly with little maintenance. Decorative stone pathways that are both easy-access between each bed and but so visually appealing that they invite clients to walk through their garden on a regular basis. The end result is a beautiful and functional sustainable oasis, which brings us and our clients joy. Located at Aldrich Park, the Shady Canyon Vegetable & Herb Garden is a peaceful escape and a way to promote healthy eating and spending time outside.
