Our Show Room Harvest to Home Vegetable & Herb Garden Service is proud to present “Our Show Room” A landscaping that completely changed the landscape of outdoors & indoors alike for our valued client in the Newport Beach community. This was a large-scale garden renovation which needed to illustrate just how colourful, how practical and how wonderful edible landscaping can be to enjoy with family, friends and culinary pursuits. It included a complex with sustainably harvested cedar wooden raised beds for growing vegetables in healthy soil. We also included several species of organic herbs and veggies such as heirloom tomato, basil and kale to not only improve the landscape, but also serve the household with fresh harvests. A drip irrigation system finished out the garden beds to conserve as much water as possible while ensuring ample growth for the plants. The challenge was twofold: First, there was the recognised need to remedy the distorted ground out of which we were making a garden, as it was simply not a matter of creating a load of grassy areas. We used skilled masons to carefully grade and level the area and began incorporating natural stone retaining walls making for a beautiful functional slope. Not only this solved the topographical problems but also fulfilled a rustic feeling into the overall design. The end result is a vibrant tapestry of lush greenery and thriving plants, complemented by paver pathways of permeable pavers that beckon exploration. Indigenous plants line a comfortable nook for the soul to rest. The client was over the moon with the results, stating that it has quickly become the entertaining space in their home & that they are very proud of it!
