About This Project

Northwest Urban Asian Garden Here at the White Pear LLC, Design & Build, we are pleased to present the Northwest Urban Asian Garden, an oasis of landscape design lying in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. This design was created at a private residence in Beaverton with Asian design in mind alongside the dynamic energy of urban landscapes. We created a garden that has balance and harmony, with a koi pond, meandering stone pathway, and a zen garden for meditative practice. Something we took into concern were the materials we used, we selected high-quality material, such as basalt stones locally sourced, bamboo fencing, and native plants which would not only embrace Asian design qualities but also thrive in the climate and context of the region. One of the biggest issues were the slope of the site, which we addressed simply with terraced planting beds, and improving the view quality of the space, we created detailed stone grading beds to solve the problem of water drainage while promoting sustainable and healthy soil. We initiated ornamental cherry trees and Japanese maples for color but also a sense of calmness. The use of boulders around the space was the best decision for adding to each layer of naturalism and landscaping. The Northwest Urban Asian Garden is an attractive retreat for relaxation and contemplation, and most importantly, client satisfaction. The creativity and craftsmanship of the Northwest Urban Asian Garden, speaks for itself in creating and providing an oasis as watchful stewards of the environment and landscapes for their homeowners.
