About This Project

University City MO - Pool, Pool House, Kitchen, & Fireplace Poynter Landscape Architecture & Construction is happy to present our latest University City , an outdoor oasis complete with a swimming pool, pool house, outdoor kitchen, and fireplace. After a long stage of design and construction, we successfully completed an expansive landscaping that satisfied our clients' particular and unique needs. The commenced with an thorough analysis of the location, so we could create a plan that respected the existing landscaping while enhancing function. Building materials included natural stone, a composite decking, and some custom masonry to add beauty and durability to the design. The pool, a series of lines in the contemporary finish, became the focal point of this design. A larger pool house was created to provide shade and comfort. One challenge we faced was adding the swimming pool and kitchen to a sloped location. Our designer and onsite craftsmen did a great job implementing tiered landscaping to help with drainage and to provide tiers of interest into the design. We also planted lush horticulture and some native plants to the neighborhood that bloom and grow well within the local climate zone. The outdoor kitchen included state of the art appliances, creating an ideal space to entertain guests at a social function. The rustic outdoor fireplace creates a cozy meeting space as well, further extending outdoor use in the evening. The end result is a beautiful retreat that combines luxury and function, making our clients extremely happy and bringing their vision to life. Poynter Landscape Architecture & Construction loves being able to change this outdoor space into a beautiful entertaining and relaxing retreat, using curated craftsmanship and effort toward client satisfaction, such as the in University City and beyond.
