In the heart, along one of the most unique settings in Michigan, here is a glimpse of the 'Indian Lake' completed by Outdoor Expressions, Inc. where great attention to detail and implementation of the latest in the industry, sets the standards for quality in landscaping. Transforming this residential property into a serene lakeside oasis Serving the communities of Auburn Hills, Beverly Hills, Birmingham, and more. The design was a balanced integration of native vegetation with materials that afford both aesthetic and ecological integrity. We chose drought tolerant, non-invasive plants, including ornamental grasses, and colorful perennials, appropriate for each microclimate, to fill the site with a colorful tapestry that offers blooms through the seasons. Natural stone walkways of locally extracted flagstone blend seamlessly into the local landscape, offering organic feel and low-maintenance, durable outdoor spaces. A major hurdle we encountered prior to construction was the steeply sloped terrain surrounding the property. The design of the terraced garden was executed by our team, consisting of natural boulders as retaining walls that list to define the lifestyle as well as prevent the soil erosion ensuring the stability. It enabled us to create defined planting areas while allowing the planters to continue into one another for exploration and experience. Perhaps the crowning glory of the Indian Lake is a custom designed fire pit area with seating beckoning families to gather round and enjoy quiet evenings enjoying the stars. Rustic reclaimed wood makes up the seating, and a built-in lights system showcases the landscaping's beauty after dark. On finishing the client was overjoyed and commented that nothing but happiness that the landscape design blended seamlessly with their lifestyle and proved to be as useful as it was beautiful.
