In planning this , we encountered a significant design challenge - the site itself was sloping down with no direct sunlight exposure. Because of this, we had to carefully contact and level the ground, guaranteeing there was good drainage and not to have planting beds too high such that there was no opportunity to have raised planting beds. From there, we incorporated raised beds to help the client have successful gardening and improved urban sustainability practices. One of the most notable features of the design is the container garden, adorned with custom-designed planters constructed from quality, weather-resistant materials. Although these planters helped to incorporate height and variety, each planter was filled with seasonal blooming and foliage plants, curated to allow for color and interest year-round. We also added a stone pathway into the design, utilizing inclusive natural stone (flagstone) sourced locally to compliment the surroundings. The pathway presents the perfect point of circulation - inviting the visitor to meander from one lush seating area to another - typically floated with furniture for guests or relaxation. The outcome was an absolutely lovely garden composited with all the elements of design, aesthetics, purpose, and overall order. With properties in the area, our clients were pleasantly surprised with the end result, their beautiful new garden - full of liveliness and welcoming character.
