Summary: Queen Anne Victorian Garden by GLDesigns The 'Queen Anne Victorian Garden' , located in the heart of Ambler, is the artistic vision and craftsmanship of GLDesigns. This beautiful garden was designed to accentuate the beauty of a historic Queen Anne Victorian home, complementing the architecture while incorporating the contemporary landscaping elements. This features a balance of native plantings along with some classic Victorian plantings, which include beautiful peonies, scented roses, and hydrangeas that are arranged to create depth, texture, and color year-round. Pathways have been laid with locally sourced Pennsylvania bluestone to retain a relationship to the home’s architecture; while custom wrought iron gates provide an elegant touch. A major challenge included the sloping property lines that surrounded the property. Our team handled the incline with terraced garden beds, proper drainage, and beauty! The water feature became a natural focal point while inviting a peaceful, serene atmosphere that wildlife and people alike could enjoy. The end results are stunning gardens that honor the Victorian era while adhering to modern standards of design, and our clients love their garden of bliss!
