Kinney-Beikmann House - Mid Mod Denver Located in the lively community of Denver, the Kinney-Beikmann House by Living Earth Designs is a beautiful homage to mid-century modern architecture that combines the home’s aesthetic with nature. Our professional team created an inviting outdoor space with a lively combination of native plants and modern hardscape. Among other features, we built hardy stone path that leads guests through colorful garden beds of drought resistant plants that thrive in Colorado. The patio was made with locally sourced flagstone, lending an organic feeling that works with the home’s design while also resisting the elements. A notable challenge was the uneven topography of the property. Our talented landscape designers shaped the property with terraces that improve aesthetics and also increased drainage, reducing potential for erosive forces on the landscape. The modern fire pit area created from sustainable materials made an inviting gathering space for entertaining friends or to relax quietly for a summer night. The end result is a classic landscape that is a reflection of the homeowners’ vision which works well with their mid-century modern home. The adds to the home and is a significant improvement to how the homeowners can use their outdoor space. Overall, our clients were ecstatic with their new outdoor retreat.
