Brief: Walkways by Canopy Landscapes Canopy Landscapes has recently finished a wonderful entitled "Walkways." The allowed for several outdoor spaces in Ann Arbor, Dexter, Saline, and Ypsilanti to be transformed into welcoming, functional pathways to improve connection and engagement while still sustaining the natural beauty of each landscape. The made use of quality materials such as natural stone pavers and permeable eco-aggregate gravel to build a collection of walkways that relate well to the existing grades and shapes of the land. Each walkway was proposed with varied curvatures and widths to create a refined flow through gardens and around elements such as water and plant life. One of the major obstacles the possessed was uneven terrain and existing root systems from older tree growth. Our talented landscape architects and craftsmen advanced techniques to provide a level walking surface while minimalizing disturbance to the surrounding flora. This provided the long-lasting beauty of the walkways tied to the natural landscape. The result was an arrangement of walkways, which exceed the expectations of our client's habitable outdoor experience.
