The client owns this beautiful property in the heart of Crofton, struggling with unstable sloped ground supporting their garden and driveway. We started with an extensive site analysis to get a sense of the environmental conditions and challenges of the landscape. Working closely with our client to reach their vision, we selected durable materials such as natural stone and reinforced concrete mixing to catch the eye. Over the course of the , we used advanced shipbuilding techniques to ensure the walls would not only stand up to the pressure from moving soil, but they would also smoothly blend into the surrounding natural environment. While the had its own set of challenges, including rocky sub-soil and extreme weather so issues that arise outside our control, our skilled team worked diligently to course correct and keep us on track. The end product was a series of flowing, tiered black concrete retaining walls covered with native hardy grasses and stones to create a gradual transition from the slope to the flat garden beds. Even though the walls will work to serve their functional purpose, they add a much-needed aesthetic to the property making the overall curb appeal of the property shine and our client has a lovely space that they can enjoy for years to come.
