The walkway, built of local cobblestone pavers, was designed to direct guests from the driveway to the refurbished front porch. Every stone was chosen by hand based on its unique texture and color, and placed so that the house looks good with its surroundings. We framed the path with colorful blooming perennials of native plants to fill the area with seasonal life. The sloping nature of the site meant that careful planning was need for drainage and grading which became one of the challenges along the adding to build process completed now. Using our detailing, our intrepid team implemented a subtle grading solution to enhance the design with jagged terraces both allowing natural water flow and creating dimensionality in the overall design. The result? Pathway that is Beautiful Looking and also Stand Strong to every Element On the porch, new durable weather-resistant materials like composite for the decking and simple clean-lined railings were used to create a more functional, easy-care space. We took care of the aesthetics by designing it with some custom planters and lanterns to make it a charming spot to sip your morning coffee or unwind in the evening. When the client received their delivery they were thrilled to say how the path and porch blended so nicely, with the fine detail matching so well and bringing beauty back to their home.
