About This Project

Before Landscaping ~Chuck & Janet's Fresh New Look by Gardens ALIVE before landscaping Showcasing the skill and artistry of Gardens ALIVE Design, 'Chuck & Janet's' is a landscape installation in the quiet neighborhood of Bellevue. This all encompassing update blended form and function to produce an outdoor oasis that flows into the natural landscape. From there, the front and back yards were extensively reimagined, including the introduction of locally sourced granite pavers to create an impressive stone pathway throughout. Its durability promises longevity while providing an elegant style that harmonizes with the green surroundings. We added more colorful plants like native fragrant rhododendrons, ferns, and perennials. These choices not only flourish in our temperate climate, they will entice local wildlife thereby adding priceless ecological function to your property. It was actually one of the largest challenges we encountered, the backyard sloped rather significantly. In response to this our team created a set of terraced garden beds using natural boulders and reclaimed wood for the retaining walls. This also helps create functional gardening spaces for Chuck and Janet, whom both enjoy horticulture. We finalized the plan by adding an ambient lighting system to enlighten this uchasty in the dark hours of the day, emphasizing the beauty of the landscape. We also refurbished our irrigation system for efficient water usage, keeping the gardens healthy and green while allowing for sustainability. When it was done, Chuck and Janet couldn't be happier with their outdoor oasis. Not only did this give their home great curb appeal but they now have a private oasis to escape and enjoy time with family and friends.
