Upper Rockridge Announces Completion of Upper Rockridge Landscaping DVA Consulting and Design goes above and beyond to contribute to the continued improvement of this luxury home. Perched upon the beautiful Rockridge hills, this included the full redesign of a large outdoor space for increased visual and practical use. In Upper Rockridge the native plantings, drought-resistant gardens, and elegant hardscaping create seamless unity. Using locally sourced stone and sustainable materials we created a winding path through the landscape culminating in a beautiful hard-scaped outdoor living space featuring a built in stone fire pit and bench to gather around under the stars. A significant challenge that had to be resolved through grading strategies to establish both drainage and foundation, is the site’s slope. We designed a series of terraced gardens that combine beauty and function in the form of a visual garden solution to minimize erosion. Additionally, the patio area covered with permeable pavers, works in absorbing rainwater, adding to the sustainable aspect of the design. The outcome is a stunning landscape that captures the essence of the client and their lifestyle, offering spaces for relaxation, entertaining and immersing themselves in nature. The colorful plant selections included low-maintenance options for their seasonal color which complimented the surrounding natural elements that transition from inside the home to the outdoor oasis.
