Landscape Consultants LLC, with attention to detail across Bennington, Kipp, New Cambria, Solomon, McPherson, Ellsworth, Abilene, Minneapolis, and Lindsborg, redesigned their outdoor space by building a aesthetic staircase that matched the natural topography of the yard. To the we installed high-quality flagstone sourced locally due to its natural beauty and slip-resistant features. Each of the steps was planned with a gradual rise and run to assure easy access and safety for all users. We added a custom planting bed on the side of the steps in hopes that the perennials and ornamental grasses would enhance the aesthetic, while also providing safety through erosion control. A major challenge was posed by the slope of the yard. The stairs required creative engineering to ensure the longevity of the . Our skilled professionals excavated the slope properly, while providing a way for everyday water to drain properly from below the stairs. We knew addressing this water issue would assure the hardscape was stable forever! The resulted in a stunning staircase that acted as a functional pathway, with the reveal becoming a beautiful focal point to the terrain encouraging the family to pause and enjoy the outdoor setting. We achieved this because the client said she loved how we created form & function with the hardscape! Again, the elevated her landscape and increased the usability of the backyard for entertaining family and friends.
