Salina, KS Residential Backyard Craftsman Design by Landscape Consultants LLC At Landscape Consultants LLC, we are passionate creating amazing outdoor spaces that build beauty and utility together. This week we launched a new , the 'Salina, KS Residential Backyard Craftsman Design' and it clearly displays our commitment to quality and craftsmanship in serving the diverse communities of Bennington, Kipp, New Cambria, Salina, Solomon, McPherson, Ellsworth, Abilene, Minneapolis, and Lindsborg. This started with an idea that our clients had of uniting the beauty of natural elements, while achieving a modern aesthetic. We developed a stunning Craftsman-style backyard that included a selection of native plants, stone pathways, and custom wood structures. With an emphasis on sourcing materials locally, we incorporated natural stone retaining walls to provide structural integrity with a rustic component to the landscape. While designing the we confronted a significant challenge; the site originally had a fairly severe slope. Our talented and resourceful team worked to maintain the natural topography, while creating drainage and accessibility for the clients. Additionally, we added a reclaimed wood pergola that serves as a focal point and defines the outdoor dining area as a wonderful spot for company or family meals. The landscape design included many different plants and colors, ranging from perennials to evergreen shrubs to provide interest throughout the year, along with an sensory experience of garden texture. We implemented a winding flagstone pathway to cultivate wandering through the garden's cozy spaces and provide access throughout the design. We even designed a fire pit area from natural boulders to create a space for gathering in the evenings. There was a wonderful level of satisfaction for all involved as we presented the dramatic transformation of the backyard to the client. Our effort resulted in a site that was a visual delight, met the expectations of the proposal, and demonstrated that high quality design is possible, while tastefully respecting the beauty of their home. The value to them exceeded work and financial value by providing a cozy space for family and friends.
