About This Project

Haltom Residence We are excited to present the breathtaking overhaul of the Haltom Residence, a center-stage landscaping facelift in the City of Anaheim, brought to you by Avenue 39 Landscape Design. Our brief was to renovate a humble back yard into a tranquil outdoor sanctuary to sit alongside the architecture of the home as well as mirror the clients love of horticulture. We began the with a comprehensive site analysis, recognizing at the outset that the lack of flat space and shade from the surrounding trees would present challenges. To address these challenges, we achieved a tiered garden with locally made natural stone retaining walls using granite. This added not only stability but an ornamental element to the landscape. In an effort to look more visually appealing we chose many different plants including some drought resistant succulents and several flowering perennials that will provide color and life all year round. We also created a bespoke irrigation system, which will help to keep the garden lush and green, without wasting water. The highlight of the Haltom Residence is a calming, shaded seating area with a pergola made from reclaimed wood, barrel vaulted and constructed with an array of joints that dont use nails or screws. We paved the space in permeable pavers that allow water flow and make the area serve its purpose. The result was a stunning outdoor area that not only fulfilled, but exceeds, the high expectations of the client. They were especially pleased with the blending of hardscape and softscape to develop an environment very conducive to family gatherings or evenings quietly home. It such a powerful testament to Avenue 39 Landscape Design skills focused within quality craftsmanship and attention to detail aspects of the work we do, the Haltom Residence is another example of how Avenue 39 Landscape Design stands behind a bond of trust with quality landscaping solutions.
