From Anaheim to Newport Beach, we proudly showcase the diversity of outdoor environments our clients envision harmonizing with nature. In this case, our team desired a landscape that matched the nature of the Cliff May home: unique mid-century architecture required a landscape that mirrored its clean lines and open spaces. We created a beautiful, sustainable, drought-tolerant garden with an integrated system using local native plants (California poppies, ornamental grasses, agave, etc.) On this sloped terrain, the use of tiered planters and decorative boulders allowed the designer to create functional spaces (not to mention great textures and colours) for seating areas. We use natural stone pathways for a gentle description of what this landscape is an experienced flow with the home to all the ways to the garden created by our talented crafters. We added a fire pit surrounded by low-maintenance xeriscaping to compliment the outdoor-living experience and provide a great place to gather at night. The result, itself, is tasteful outdoor lighting exactly where it needs to be, drawing attention architectural features of the home as well as landscaping by day and night. A beautiful balance between refinement and utility that thrilled the client by providing a calm oasis that complements their life.
