Flagstone Walkway by Zach's Lawn & Landscaping Zach's Lawn & Landscaping is pleased to share the 'Flagstone Walkway' , a beautiful addition to a homeowner's outdoor space located in the heart of Overland Park. The objective was to create a functional and aesthetic pathway that cubic with the surrounding landscape and garden area while providing durability and beauty. This used premium natural flagstone, known for its interesting textures and colors, to create a rustic look. The biggest challenge on this was the noted unevenness to the area and keeping existing vegetation to create a level work area, but still protect what was present in the landscape. The Zach's Lawn & Landscaping team utilized their skills to cut and fit each stone individually to ensure an even and proper alignment of the flagstone while still providing an attractive walking surface. We added attractive landscaping elements to further enhance the aesthetic appeal of this walkway by utilizing native plants to form a border along the walkway and decorative gravel. Overall, the materials, texture and colors of the native plants facilitated a unique contrast of colors and maturity all around the flagstone pathway. The final product exceeded the homeowner's expectations by providing a fully functional and durable, low maintenance sidewalk, that will fit in with their existing outdoor space. The 'Flagstone Walkway' is now an important feature to their home, and we loved bringing their ideas to life!
