Bridge/Steps by Prestige One Landscaping Prestige One Landscaping is excited to share the 'Bridge/Steps' , an incredible that gracefully marries utility and beauty in the vibrant landscapes of Avondale to Westwood Hills. The focused on reimagining a steep and uneven hillside to create an accessible and attractive feature to the outdoor space. The bridge was the centerpiece of this . Constructed from beautiful Western Red Cedar, which is highly durable and naturally weather resistant, the custom bridge spans over a gentle stream providing a wonderful focal point. The stone steps were also central to the features - they have flagged stone made from locally sourced stone and give a heartfelt path for residents and guests to access the area. When creating the steps, we designed them to be durable and follow the contours of the existing and natural structures while allow for a reasonable access to garden features. Our crew also faced many challenges, including drainage solutions that were necessary. A full drainage system was designed to manage the water runoff, and we used permeable materials to handle the water while protecting the integrity and features of the bridge and steps. The end result is a fantastic feature in the landscape that satisfies practicality and adds value to aesthetics by creating an interesting place in the yard that people admire. The rustic cedar features, along with the warm stone features, complement the natural community space aesthetic. Our client was thrilled with the result, sharing that the bridge, steps, and area had become a feature that family and friends now use to hover and meet.
