This guide is intended to achieve a simple sanctuary of outdoors where beauty & functionality blends. Our team was tasked with finding creative grading solutions from the start due to the sloped site that needed to be addressed for both drainage and aesthetics. For retaining walls, we chose a locally available high-quality native stone to provide the structural support, which blended seamlessly with the native landscape. The use of permeable pavers on the patio not only made the backyard more sustainable but also created and installed a trendy yet long-lasting surface for hosting outdoor events. This included extensive plantings as a major component. Using selection of the highest quality perennial flowers, ornamental grass and evergreen shrub we assembled a perennial flower, ornamental grass and evergreen shrub designed to grow well in the Louisville climate and facilitate year round beauty. Layered planting beds created by our horticulturists provide depth and excitement whilst filling the habitat with wildlife. Though an area with a fire pit, with custom-made seating, exotic brick, and reclaimed bricks is majorly an attraction at Anchorage Backyard. This striking point draws family and friends to you, making it the ideal evening relaxation space. Outdoor lighting was also strategically placed to add visual interest to the beautiful plantings, as well as the architectural elements, keeping this space usable even at night. Anchorage Backyard result was literally more than they expected, turning a difficult site into a colorful and inviting oasis.
