Work in Progress by The Greathouse Company LLC The Greathouse Company LLC is excited to share this "Work in Progress" landscape and its wonderful partnership with our clients. Located right in the heart of Brentwood, the team at Greathouse took a plain outdoor area and designed it into a unique outdoor space. With clients throughout the areas of Antioch, Belle Meade, Berry Hill, Forest Hills, Franklin, Goodlettsville, Nashville, and Oak Hill, we love to bring the outdoors to life. From the beginning, our team was faced with a challenging sloped area and went to work finding solutions to create visual appeal and help with functionality and usability. The use of locally sourced high-quality materials allowed our team to think outside the box and create a terraced garden, or raised garden beds, to improve the beauty of the space and improve drainage. This design also included proper, beautiful natural stone retaining walls that blended into the setting and created stabilized walls. As part of the landscape, we utilized all sorts of native plants that are resistant to the climate in Tennessee, so that the landscape would be sustainable and low maintenance. We focused on all colors of perennials and ornamental grasses for year-round color and texture. We even included some boulders that have filled into the earth, creating a naturalistic look. To add to the experience of the space, a meandering path made of reclaimed wood and of stone pavers is in place to create place the guest should travel through the garden space with a desire to walk down the path to enjoy the contrasts of their outdoor area. The attention to detail and craftmanship certainly reflects the work at Greathouse Company LLC. A surprise of logistics helped or hindered the due to the terrain we had to deal with on land and topography and even weather challenges with their consequence. In the end, the space has a sensibility of an outdoor living area and I believe that it fits greatly with the client's vision and improves the value of the client's property. As this "Work in Progress" reflects, Greathouse Company LLC is passionate having the privilege to work to create excellence in landscaping.
