Beautiful Backyard Oasis | Nashville, TN The Greathouse Company LLC is very proud to deliver the 'Beautiful Backyard Oasis' , a truly spectacular renovation in the heart of Nashville, TN. The request was to provide our clients a relaxing retreat from their busy lives, and we created a beautiful landscape around them with nature and luxury in mind. As a landscape company that serves families and homeowners in Nashville and the surrounding area (including Antioch, Belle Meade, Berry Hill, Brentwood, Forest Hills, Franklin, Goodlettsville, and Oak Hill) this special outdoor space was a wonderful addition to their property. Our collaborated with our clients on the design to overcome the challenges of a sloped backyard that offered limited usable space and drainage concerns. A beautiful multi-layered design was created, that overcame the issues of water management while providing multiple zones for relaxation and entertainment. Using high quality materials, we incorporated natural stone retaining walls to transition between the tiers while using the history and character of the stone to match the native landscape. A custom indoor and outdoor flagstone patio provides entertaining and dining capabilities. In addition to the outdoor retreat, we included a water feature, complete with a waterfall and koi pond, that features native plants for a vibrant and lush living landscape. The plants are all planted, for both the backyard and water feature, native to Tennessee and all attract local wildlife. Accent lighting was considered in the landscape to allow for magical evenings outside under the stars. The plants were also drought-tolerant, meet the owners' desire for minimal maintenance during the seasons and keeping the living landscape beautiful all seasons. The outcome is an extraordinary sanctuary that exceeded the owners' expectations that delivered the peaceful backyard getaway yet added equity to the property.
