About This Project

Healing Gardens by Serquis + Associates Landscape Architecture In the stunning settings of Santa Fe, Serquis + Associates Landscape Architecture envisions 'Healing Gardens' outdoor spaces as places for revitalization and contemplation. The serves multiple communities: Agua Fria, Cañada de los Alamos, Chupadero, and others and ultimately seeks to create a balance between the natural and the architectural. The Healing Gardens have been planted with a selection of native plants to ensure that they thrive in the Santa Fe climate, while also supporting a variety of native species. There are walkways of locally found flagstone that weave through the gardens, leading to quiet places to sit on a custom-built bench, sheltered from the sound of a water feature meant to represent the sound of a mountain stream that lightly spills over rocks. Serquis + Associates was charged with blending the garden into the existing topography through grading and erosion control. The attention to detail was to beautify the area and ensure longevity in the landscape. In addition, the use of reclaimed wood to build raised planters and trellises adds a natural element to the site. The end result is a beautiful oasis honoring the client's vision for a healing space for mental health and our communities. The Healing Gardens will surely be an inviting space for all included to enjoy the craftsmanship and staff care at Serquis + Associates Landscape Architecture.
