Located in the heart of Garden City, this exemplifies our dedication to enriching outdoor spaces while ensuring the natural beauty of the area remains intact. The design incorporates a synergy of native plant species, like coastal grasses and evergreen and perennial flowers, which not only thrive in the coastal climate, but also provide colorful accents throughout the seasons. The use of natural stone paths direct guests through the lush garden, adding to the quaint cottage feel, while bridging the connection between home and landscape. One of the primary challenges that we faced with the included the added challenge of a gradual incline in and around the cottage. Our skilled team leveled the area to develop tiered garden beds that would not only provide adequate drainage, but also create a planter that would look visually appealing once it was complete. The cherry on the rustic cake was the decorative boulders and raised planters from reclaimed wood that give show as much purpose as charm. In addition to filling the area with plant material and hardscapes, we installed a specifically designed irrigation system for the space to make sure that water was efficiently delivered to each bed during dry periods to allow for optimal growth while conserving resource. The end result is a low maintenance landscape that will be beautiful year-round for the family.
