The commenced with a complete design consultation, where we worked with the homeowners to help bring their needs, wants, and vision for their property to life. Our landscaping team developed an intentional plan for the layout of the property and incorporated specific landscaping elements that'll honor the history of the home's architectural design. We introduced lush, native plantings such as azaleas, camellias, and magnolias that thrive in our Houston climate and provides visual interest year-round. One of the standout sections of the is the large brick patio. It's constructed of durable and resilient quality material that complements the colonial design aesthetic. The large outdoor patio is the perfect space for entertaining guests with its custom fire pit and comfortable seating area for relaxing on evenings or catching up with friends. To allow for enjoyment year-round, we created a charming outdoor kitchen which includes a grill, food prep sink, and ample counter surface to create an outdoor kitchen paradise. With the thoughtfully designed and once the construction began, we faced challenges with the varying elevations of the site and existing issues with drainage. Our solution was to provide a drainage system so the water would flow away from the site and prevent landscape failure. The height and surroundings of the site were enhanced by retaining walls using an elegant stone material that would provide detail and visual interest while offering support to the sloping site. The final product is a stunning garden oasis that captures the essence of the Southern Colonial experience in both form and function. The clients were pleased with the outcome of the and were happy to now have a serene space they could call their own while elevating the home’s marketability.
