'Fish Pond' by TotalScape Design TotalScape Design is excited to present the 'Fish Pond' , a beautiful landscaping that turned a suburban backyard into an oasis of water. This , located in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, is a testament to TotalScape's quality workmanship and innovative design, serving clients in Broward and Palm Beach counties including Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Boca Raton, and Delray Beach. The Fish Pond features a custom designed koi pond that is 20 feet long and 10 feet wide, and lush landscaping with plenty of color. We engaged durable natural stone for the edging of the pond to integrate the pond into the surrounding environment while holding up over time. This pond has a state-of-the-art filtration system to keep the water clear for the koi fish. One of the most challenging parts of the was dealing with a slope on the property where the pond was to be installed. Our team of experts designed a solution by implementing a tiered landscape and retaining wall with natural boulders to keep the slope stable and be more visually appealing. To round out the relaxing nature of the pond, we used aquatic plants, including water lilies and lotus flowers, to harmonize the design and natural elements of the water. The end result was beyond the client's expectations and has become a gathering spot for family and friends. The soft sound of flowing water and coupled with the colors of the fish and flowers provides some peacefulness away from the fast-paced nature of life. TotalScape's attention to detail and commitment to each client's satisfaction put this over the top to not just be a landscaping , but now a living breathing entity with purpose for the client.
