Shelby Township, MI - Backyard Design & Construction Troy Clogg Landscape Associates is excited to share the completed backyard design and construction for our clients in Shelby Township, MI. This backyard remodel demonstrates our business' commitment to quality and creative landscaping for our clients in the region, including Auburn Hills, Bloomfield Hills, and Novi. The started with an in-depth consultation to learn the client's vision to create a peaceful yard. The main component of the yard was the bluestone multi-tiered patio which not only provided visual appeal, but durability as well. We also built an outdoor fire pit and seating from natural stone to create a welcoming gathering space that can be enjoyed in the evening under the stars. In addition to the hardscape features, we filled the yard with a mixture of native plants and ornamental grasses to provide interest throughout the yard, while providing the client with a low-maintenance landscape to showcase the natural life in the plantings. We also designed a beautiful water feature with a waterfall which created movement, interest, sound and enhanced the peacefulness of the yard. One of the challenges associated with the was working with the existing slope of the yard. Culture and drain was a consideration so to be innovative, we graded the yard without interrupting the existing slope and finalized with a tiered garden. The end result is a beautiful backyard that our clients now are greatly enjoying and are providing a sense of peace and beauty to the property.
