This important aspect of the design consists of a number of native plantings selected for seasonal interest and ecological benefit, providing a colorful, textured tapestry. The contemporary garden alongside forthcoming partakes in high-grade material, such as laying stone paths, locally sourced stone paths, and custom metal sculptures, while the natural surrounding is respected. Finding level zones to plant within half of a vertical mile of steep topography was one of the greatest challenges the team faced on the , necessitating creative grading solutions to balance leveling areas for planting with an undulating landscape that represents a complex natural hydrology. To tackle these, Ben Young's team skillfully installed terraced garden beds, complemented by retaining walls where they were needed the most not only for function, but also for form. The result is a calm but animated environment that catches the eye and encourages exploration. Water feature: clients are welcomed with the sound of gently flowing water, seating areas are scattered around nature to give clients a nice place to sit and contemplate.
