Landscape Bed Rejuvenation Majestic Services of Michigan We just recently performed a complete renovation of an old overgrown landscape bed for one of our clients in the wonderful community of East Grand Rapids, MI. This was our Landscape Bed Refurbishment ; a to start bringing new life to the outside, to enhance the pleasure of sitting out, and using the outdoor space. We studied the landscape, monitored which areas needed immediate rehabilitation, and made sure to work hand-in-hand with the client to make sure that their real estate vision was executed. We tore out all the invasive weeds, and old, tired plantings, effectively giving our design a blank canvas to work with. For a fresh start, we added nutrient-rich top soil, creating an ideal growing environment for new plant life. These were specifically selected native perennials, as well as seasonal flowering annuals, so that the refurbishment would be robust but colourful throughout the seasons. If you appreciate a strong structure to your landscape bed, we love using solid edging materials to create clean lines to outline the space. We also added some decorative river rock for some additional decoration and proper drainage. My biggest challenge was that the landscape bed was on a slope. We expertly leveled the area to leave enough space for each plant to grown into, staying balanced and pleasing to the eye. This approach not only mitigated drainage issues but also fostered an integrative relationship between vegetation and adjacent spaces(modern lawns in the front yard). The end result was nothing less than impressive. This landscape bed was once an eyesore and now it serves as a center piece with a colorful tapestry of foliage and flower textures that satisfy our client. The homeowners were ecstatic the strong blending of the two in such an open space, making the backyard into a soothing retreat for unwinding as well as having visitors.
