About This Project

Being in the center of Clayton, Missouri, the Polesel Residence represents our commitment to quality and innovation. The showcased a well-rounded landscaping implementation with native plantings, chic hardscaping, and sustainable design. To be specific, we started by dealing with the grading and the torrential flush of soil from the ditches needing to get them through the ridges and valleys, ensuring drainage (where necessary) and how to make sure the plants were still well maintained. To create balance and interest 12 months a year, our team carefully selected native perennials and shrubs to form a self-sustaining ecology that would entice pollinators. Incorporating high-quality materials was paramount. We used natural stone for walkways and patio which melded with the landscape. A customized water feature transformed the mood and became the eye-catcher that beckoned one to relax and linger. We also designed a multi-tiered garden, allowing room for plants while also being aesthetically pleasing. The original irrigation system was outdated, and we faced quite a lot of hurdles, updating this to make sure we were using water sustainably and efficiently. The end result was a beautiful outdoor oasis that the homeowner dreamed of, a balance of functional living space as well as aesthetic appeal. The Polesel Residence is a testament to DG2 and exceptional landscapes, and how landscapes can transform our outdoor spaces. Ultimately we have created a landscape that will not only serve our client, but will do so while adding beauty to the community in which we work and play.
