z2009 ALE: Shaub Residence The 'z2009 ALE: Shaub Residence' represents the zenith of its class of landscape design and construction in Pennsylvania, as determined by the Pennsylvania Landscape & Nursery Association. This all-embracing landscaping urgement converted the consumer outdoor neighborhood into a beautiful + purposeful sanctuary that is practical, proud, and perfect. The was centered around the creation of a multi-tiered garden that would provide an extensive palette of native Pennsylvania plants while maintaining a self-sustaining and low maintenance design. The expert team made selections from some of the finest materials, while also using stone for retaining walls and paths directly from local quarries that offers visual charm and strength to withstand the range of weather that Pennsylvania will put these materials through. The natural slope of the terrain posed a number of design and construct challenges, requiring creative solutions to handle drainage and erosion control during the . These are two key challenges to overcome in order to get the intended performance from the structure and beyond. They did a great job designing a rain garden to reduce stormwater runoff and created a habitat for native plants that flourish in a saturated environment, which also improves biodiversity and addresses environmental issues. The end result is an enchanting outdoor environment which features a tranquil water feature, welcoming seating spaces for comfortable lounging as well as rear garden plantings that provide three seasons of attraction with balloons of landscape interest. Now, the Shaub Residence has become a peaceful oasis for the family, a place where they can connect with nature within the privacy of their own backyard. Our homeowners could not be more pleased, as their plans to enjoy the balance of summer in their new home has been rewarded! They commend us for our attention to detail and workmanship that is certainly a cut above!! Not only did the add beauty to the home, it brought true functionality, a great example of the Pennsylvania Landscape & Nursery Association workmanship.
