About This Project

Bay's Edge Hall is a stunning transformation of a turn-of-the-century home, beautifully situated to take advantage of its spectacular views in Barrington, RI. The project involved a comprehensive reconfiguration of the interior spaces to enhance both functionality and aesthetics. A key focus was the introduction of multiple fireplaces throughout the home, which add warmth and charm, while a farmhouse-style kitchen was meticulously updated to blend modern amenities with classic design. The butler pantry and study were thoughtfully rebuilt, creating seamless transitions between the kitchen and the living areas. A new family room was added to accommodate gatherings, and the existing sunporch was revitalized to serve as a bright and inviting space for relaxation. The entryway underwent a significant upgrade with the installation of a new portico and the reinstallation of the original front door, which now opens into an enlarged entry hall that sets a welcoming tone for the home. The master bedroom stands out with its French doors that open directly to the breathtaking water views, complemented by a newly designed master bath that features high-end finishes and modern conveniences. The exterior of Bay's Edge Hall was equally prioritized, with extensive work done to create inviting terraces and lush new gardens, using materials sourced from the existing site to ensure harmony with the surroundings. The garage was reimagined; one part of the existing structure was retained, while a larger garage was constructed to match its architectural style. This new garage features a guest house on the second floor, providing comfortable accommodations for visitors, and a first-floor billiards room with a striking timber truss ceiling that adds a rustic touch to the overall elegance. The interior design, led by Alan Reniere Interior Design, reflects a blend of traditional and contemporary elements, resulting in spaces that are not only beautiful but also functional and comfortable. The completion of this project has truly enhanced the home's appeal, making it a perfect retreat for its owners and their guests.
