About This Project

Jackie's Pond The team at Aerate 1 Landscaping & Ponds, Inc. is excited to showcase our latest , 'Jackie's Pond', a peaceful retreat in the heart of Naperville, where we took a neglected backyard and transformed it into a peaceful retreat for our client. From the start, we put a lot of planning in the to visit with Jackie to capture her ideal. Not included in our designs was a stunning natural pond with a handsome falling waterfall for peaceful sounds. The edges of the pond were framed with real natural stone from the area to provide a more natural edge. We also added colorful plants, including water lilies, and lotus flowers, which promote plant, fish and wildlife biodiversity. To improve the ponds success we needed to address some existing drainage issues on the property. Our team was able to design and install a unique drainage system that allowed for efficient drainage, and doesn't overwhelm the space for the pond or flooding. A bridge made of reclaimed wood is also part of the design, and allows access to the pond without obstructing the natural flow in this area. The new landscape includes colorful plantings, winding pathways, and benches built by hand to provide a physical space for family and friends to convene in nature, and enjoy a peaceful location. Jackie is so happy to have this pond in her backyard again . “It is so wonderfully done, they thought of everything, and it fits so nicely in nature and in with my design." Jackie's Pond is now a place where family and friends can build memories and enjoy nature deep in a long time family property.
