Stonework - Aerate 1 Landscaping & Ponds, Inc. At Aerate 1 Landscaping & Ponds, Inc. we recently completed a fantastic landscaping called "Stonework", in which we turned a plain outdoor space into a beautiful oasis. This showcases the type of quality and workmanship found in all of the work we do, serving the communities of Aurora, Bolingbrook, Clarendon Hills, Crest Hill, and more. The primary feature of the Stonework was a natural stone patio featuring stone sourced locally. This not only improves the overall aesthetics of the space, but also provides longevity and durability. Our team constructed an exquisite retaining wall using natural stone to define the garden beds, making great use of different stones in texture and color that would complement the existing landscape. The site presented some challenges with the topography of the land, as it was not level and evenly sloped away from the house. Our team took care to grade properly to provide good drainage and create a space that was visually appealing. Precision was key in the installation, especially when leveling the stonework and aligning the wall to transition seamlessly between the patio, pathways, and garden beds. We also included a wide variety of native plants surrounding the stone features to improve ecological value and minimize maintenance for the homeowner. Not only do the included plants provide color and texture, they also attract local wildlife creating a lively garden. After it was all said and done, the homeowner was ecstatic! The Stonework changed their outdoor living space experience, and in-turn added to the value of their home.
